“When a person dies his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him”

THE HUMBLE BEGINNING

C H Centre is a registered independent charitable organization focusing to empower the poor and improve their social, political and economic situations. C H Centre started its operations on 6th September 2001, considering the difficulties faced by the patients of Calicut Medical College hospital after the Kadalundi Train accident and Pookkipparambu bus accident- the two serious disruptions that took away a lot of lives and created great potential losses to the mankind. Sayyid Muhammad Ali Shihab Thangal, one of the most influential religious and political leaders in Kerala who elevated the message of love, charity and harmony inaugurated this independent organization to empower the poor. The interest of Shihab Thangal was our leading spirit to empower the poor. The first donor and the role model of C H Centre, Shri.Thahir gave out the first donation of an amount of Rs. 50,000/- to Shihab Thangal. After consulting with experts and medical bodies, C H Centre started its humble beginning by distributing sample medicines for the poor and the needy. Free medicines were made available to people as and when required. This action helped many poor people from accessing proper health care services. Many political leaders addressed this idea as a major step towards providing social security to citizens and, we became an inspiration for many.
